Notice and counter-notice
Copyright policy
Report copyright infringement with enough detail for a moderator to identify the work and the material. This is a small private service, not a public content platform, but the same principles apply.
Send a takedown notice
Email abuse@shopdigital.art with the subject “Copyright notice” and include:
- your name, address, telephone, and email;
- identification of the copyrighted work;
- the exact account, post URL, or chat-room reference and the material at issue;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
Do not send sensitive personal data beyond what is needed. Because chat is end-to-end encrypted, the operator cannot inspect encrypted message contents; a notice should identify visible material or provide lawful context.
What happens next
A valid notice is reviewed. The material may be removed or hidden, and the account may be notified with the notice information. Repeated infringement can result in account suspension. Knowingly false notices may create liability.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed by mistake or you have authorisation, email the same address with the reference, your contact details, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court, and your signature. The operator may restore the material or pass the counter-notice to the original complainant, as the law allows.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly receive valid notices may be suspended or closed. An account may also lose invite privileges. Moderation actions are recorded in the internal audit log.
